Reuters- Data centers are just 1% of the U.S. commercial real estate market, but they are attracting much more than 1% of funding as investors seek exposure to the AI boom.
Greg Friedman of Peachtree Group told Reuters power and water needs, local opposition and the changing needs of the tech industry could all mean a lot of data center projects attracting money now might not ever get off the ground, meaning possible losses for investors.
