Located in the Antelope Valley region of north Los Angeles County, Palmdale is a center of commerce for the area. Historically a hub for aerospace development, the area is home to Edwards Air Force Base and numerous supporting contractors. In addition, education demand comes from California State University, Bakersfield and retail establishments serve as a destination for the region. Palmdale is located off of Highway 14 and sits as the gateway to adjacent cities Lancaster, Rosamond and Mojave. Palmdale’s population totals 170,000, and the greater Antelope Valley region totals over 550,000. The area has experienced meaningful population growth of over 10% since 2010. 2022 saw Palmdale add over 300 new businesses, including numerous retail outlets supporting consumer spend in the greater region.
